(For Southeast Asia) Jin Sakai Returns In Ghost Of Yōtei: Most Wanted
Sucker Punch Productions has announced that Jin Sakai will return as a playable character in Ghost of Yŀtei: Most Wanted, a new roguelike combat survival mode included in the upcoming Ghost of Yŀtei Complete Edition. The developer also shared fresh details on the Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion, pricing tiers for Southeast Asia, and a free update scheduled to launch in October 2026.
Sucker Punch Productions has revealed that Jin Sakai, the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima, will return as a playable character in Ghost of Yŀtei: Most Wanted. This new single-player combat survival mode is designed as a roguelike experience and will be included in the upcoming Ghost of Yŀtei Complete Edition. The announcement, shared via the PlayStation Blog by Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb, highlights that Jin's character model has been faithfully upgraded for the new game while retaining his original four combat stances.
In the Most Wanted mode, players select from four distinct characters to pursue bounties of escalating difficulty. Each run requires players to battle waves of enemies and minibosses to reach a member of the Yŀtei Six, culminating in a final confrontation against Lord Saito. Throughout these runs, players choose various perks—such as weapon mastery, gear loadouts, and summons—to craft unique character builds. Completing runs awards Mon, an in-game currency spent outside of runs to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and additional characters. Cosmetics earned in Most Wanted can also be used in the main game and the new story expansion.
The mode's default starting character is Atsu, who wields dual katanas alongside blinding powder and blind bombs. Her ultimate ability, "Call of the Pack," summons two wolves, while her "Onryŀ's Howl" kill streak terrifies nearby foes. Players can also unlock Oyuki, who utilizes a kusarigama, kunai, and rifle, and can summon a Nine Tails ally. Nagato fights with a spear, pistol, and bows, using an ultimate ability that guarantees headshots. Jin Sakai serves as the final playable character, equipped with his signature katana stances, a sticky bomb, a short bow, his "Dance of Wrath" ultimate, and his classic "Ghost Stance" kill streak.
Alongside the roguelike mode, Sucker Punch shared details on Ghost of Yŀtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion split between Atsu's past at the Battle of Sekigahara and the present day. The story follows Atsu as she reluctantly teams up with Nagato to rescue a captured ally from the Vipers, a group of vicious outlaws occupying the Ashoro Foothills. This previously unseen, devastated region of Ezo introduces new enemy types, heavy weapons, mythic tales, abilities, armor sets, and cosmetics.
For players in Southeast Asia who already own the base game, the Complete Edition Upgrade is available for pre-order at SGD 20.27, MYR 60.11, IDR 220,890, or THB 524. This upgrade grants access to both Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara on October 1, 2026, in Bangkok and Jakarta, and October 2, 2026, in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Pre-ordering by September 30 provides an early unlock of the Sakai Armor for Atsu. New players can purchase the full digital Ghost of Yŀtei Complete Edition for SGD 97.90, MYR 299, IDR 1,142,000, or THB 2,290, which includes the base game, the Legends co-op mode, digital deluxe content, and the upcoming expansions. Even players who do not purchase the Complete Edition upgrade will receive a free patch on October 1, 2026. This update introduces the "Beauty of Yŀtei" mode, allowing players to explore Ezo's environments in Photo Mode. Additionally, the patch adds new music tracks for Watanabe Mode, a high-contrast accessibility option, and a highly requested feature that allows players to retain an armor set's visual appearance while utilizing the stats of a different set.
