Coming To XBOX Game Pass: Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago, And More

Microsoft has announced the next wave of titles arriving on Xbox Game Pass for October 2026. The upcoming lineup includes highly anticipated releases like Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, and Forever Ago, alongside several day-one additions. Additionally, the publisher highlighted recently added titles and revealed the list of games scheduled to depart the subscription service on October 15.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a fresh wave of titles to look forward to in October 2026, building on the recent arrivals of Gears of War: E-Day and Minecraft Dungeons II. Microsoft has detailed a diverse selection of upcoming games spanning multiple genres, including action-adventure, roguelikes, and tactical shooters. Many of these titles will be available on their launch day, offering immediate access to members across cloud, console, handheld, and PC platforms depending on the specific game.

The rollout begins on October 8 with three distinct titles. Echo Weaver, a knowledge-based metroidvania centered around a time loop, debuts as a day-one release for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and cloud players. On the same day, players can embark on a narrative-driven road trip in Forever Ago, a single-player adventure focused on photography and redemption. Rounding out the October 8 additions is Neon Abyss 2, a cyberpunk-themed roguelike platformer that challenges players to battle ancient and modern deities in New Athens.

Mid-month brings one of the wave's biggest highlights with the arrival of Battlefield 6 on October 13. Available on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, the shooter delivers intense close-quarters combat and signature environmental destruction. Ultimate tier subscribers will also benefit from included EA Play perks, which grant access to the EA Play Deployment Pack, the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and a ten percent discount on eligible digital purchases from EA.

Two more day-one releases join the service on October 13. Deep Dish Dungeon offers a blend of survival, crafting, and metroidvania exploration that can be played solo or in online cooperative multiplayer. Meanwhile, Ghostrunner developer Slipgate Ironworks delivers Valor Mortis, a first-person action soulslike set during the Napoleonic era. Players control a resurrected soldier wielding supernatural abilities to combat monstrous threats and expose a global conspiracy.

On October 15, the cooperative gladiator roguelike Chained Beasts arrives, tasking up to four players with fighting arena battles while physically bound together. The same day introduces Bluey's Happy Snaps, an interactive photography adventure designed for solo play or two-player local cooperation. The final upcoming title of this wave is Beyond These Stars, launching on October 16 for PC, which challenges players to build and manage a city on the back of a traveling Space Whale.

Alongside the upcoming schedule, Microsoft highlighted several titles that are currently playable, such as Shape of Dreams and Asphalt Legends, the latter of which offers active in-game benefits like a Ford GT MKII and virtual currency. However, the update also notes that nine games will leave the service on October 15, including A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, Pacific Drive, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Members interested in keeping these departing titles can purchase them at a discount before they are removed.
